CME will not stock replacement parts, but Adepto can still service and repair your CME pumps until you can procure new models. We recommend you do this as soon as possible.
Yes, BD Alaris, who now owns CME, is developing a replacement model. We recommend renting or purchasing one of the replacement models listed above in the meantime.
The main reason for this recall is a technological error in the pumps that can cause over-or-under-infusion of the medications they are designed to deliver. It is possible for patients on these pumps to receive too much medication, too little, or for therapy to be delayed.
